New Drum Circle in Mtn. View!

Hey y'all....I told you I wouldn't flood your email inbox...it's been almost a year since my last post! So sorry, but you know how it goes...

I've cleaned up and updated this website and will be more active here, so be ready for some new drum-related info heading your way. Please feel free to share this blog with friends or your social networks...Be sure to explore this site, and especially the two music players...tons of great drumming music there, for free...and don't miss all the videos and drum lessons/examples!

We have exciting news: A new drum circle has been formed in Mountain View AR, thanks to Jana at the new "Full Circle Healing Center"/"Gray Thunder Mercantile" store at 122 E. Main, Mtn. View. Jana is hosting the drum circle inside her Healing Center, but if the weather is nice, the circle will be in the gazebo in the park across the street. Come join the great fun every 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, from 2-5PM...there have been pretty large groups so far, with several of the "traditional" folk musicians in the area attending. Some folks have stayed past 5PM for even more rhythmic healing!

Please let me know if you have something to share with the local drum community, or if you have ideas or suggestions about how this site could be improved! What would you like to see?

Hey, Omar! Galen here. I miss the noise making at the drum circle there in MV. Haven't found a sub for it so far here in CO. We will be back in Sept. to bang around on various things again. Take care!

Heyo Galen! We sure miss your input at the drum circle, and around town with your excellent washtub bass playin'!! Hope all is well in Colorado...lookin' for your return in the fall! Love ya bro!

This site was built with the intention of helping drummers in the Ozarks get together in drum circles, to share drumming music, videos, lessons, examples, drum notations, related sites and upcoming events.

Drum and Rhythm Events in the Ozarks

"Full Circle Healing Center" Drum Circle from 2PM until 5PM on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. If weather permits, the drum circle will be in the gazebo in the park across the street from the FCHCenter. 122 E. Main St., Mountain View, AR If folks want to drum past 5PM, we'll do it!
"For Mother Earth Store" (aka "Hippie Heaven") Drum Circle from 2PM until 5PM on the 1st Sunday each month. Downtown Norfork, Arkansas.
Eureka Springs Drum Circle. First Saturday of the month in Basin Springs Park. Afternoon/evenings.
Open Mic Night at Pizza Inn, Melbourne, Arkansas. Every Thursday at 6:30 PM. Bring a drum, bell, shaker, flute...whatever, and join in the music.
Music on the Square in Mountain View, Arkansas. Music jams just start up spontaneously. Friday and Saturday afternoon and evenings in season. Join "Ozark Traditions" concert at the courthouse on Saturday's, 6:30-8:00PM. Not a drum circle, but darned nice!
